Job Summary:
Ariza Credit Union is seeking an IT Support Officer to contribute to its digital transformation initiatives. This role is focused on providing technical support services to the Credit Union and working closely with the Network and Systems Administrators to maintain Ariza’s computer network, systems, and software.
Key responsibilities:
- Answers, evaluates, prioritizes and resolves incoming requests for IT assistance re hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.
- Assists in configuring, installing, maintaining and troubleshooting end user hardware such as: desktop computers, laptops, printers/scanners, phones, monitors, and peripheral equipment.
- Assists with configuring and assigning user access.
- Supports the roll-out of new software applications and or updates to existing applications
- Assists with providing support to the E-Services team and other departments as directed.
- Assists in maintaining and monitoring ATMs and Cash recyclers’ infrastructure.
- Assists with training and supporting staff on new and existing software applications, including Microsoft products and applications.
- Assists in liaising with local, regional and international support vendors/potential vendors, to facilitate relationships that are beneficial to the Credit Union.
Qualification, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Systems Engineering
- One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in providing IT technical support within a similar working environment.
- Knowledge of Windows Servers
- Knowledge of programming languages like Python, C#, PHP
- Network support knowledge with Fortinet/FortiGate
- Knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and by-laws
- High proficiency in Windows operating system and Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of Sharetec (core software), will be an asset
- Skills: Customer service, accountability, emotional intelligence, communication, diagnostic & problem solving, time management, training, teamwork, ability to work under pressure, detail-oriented and quick learner.
